The goal for this family was to create a more functional space to complement their everyday lifestyle while preserving the historical details of their home. To restructure the layout with a better flow, we moved walls and reconfigured rooms. We also added small luxuries, like a roomy walk-in closet with a vanity in the primary bedroom. By opening up the staircase and window wells, the lower level graduated from a basement to a bright and sunny media room, complete with a full bath and workout gym. Staying true to the era, we kept the original wood and added architectural details to harmonize the old with the new. Bold tile, refined fixtures, and whimsical art were the finishing touches, reflecting this family’s personality to truly make this house feel like a home.
